Another 3 am wake up! It took about 2 1/2 hours to get up to this spot. I was getting a little anxious when I started seeing red in the sky to the East and I wasn't even all the way to the saddle (a few minutes from here). But as it started getting lighter I found this place and fell in love! It was overcast so I was really lucky to get those rays on the far peaks. That hike wiped me out for the day...

It really was! And a friend of the wife’s has me paranoid about Mountain Lions, so I was doing a 360 degree check almost constantly – until I decided that was just silly… But it was certainly an adventure!
