Thanks to Moe Dalitz - an admitted bootlegger with ties to organized crime - Vegas has this beautiful cathedral designed by Paul Revere Williams, an African American architect. The front mosaic (2,000 sq. ft.) was designed by Hungarian artist Edith Piczek and executed by L. Favret-Pietrasanta. Edith's sister, a theoretical physicist and monumental artist, created the stained glass for the 12 stations of the cross.
